SE 53^rd Open Space Work Party

Join us for a Forest Steward led clean-up event in SE 53^rd St Open Space. This beautiful park is home to dynamic trails, a watercourse, a wetland, and plenty of bird action! But this park needs some serious help, much of the forest floor is blanketed in ivy, making natural regeneration of native vegetation difficult. By volunteering you can help to remove the ivy and make space for a future healthier forest.

• When: Saturday, May 24^th,  9am-11am
• Where: SE 53^rd Pl Open Space, meet at the park entrance at the top of SE 53^rd Pl.
• What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring water. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.
