​Background

A 2020 underwater survey of the docks found rot in structural members and loose bracing. Life expectancy is less than five years. The existing facilities do not serve the current need well. More floating dock space would support current uses including small powerboats, recreational sailing and kayak camps. Repairing excess fixed piers is not a good use of capital funding. 

Description

Replace and renovate existing docks to provide moorage and launching for a wide variety of boats. Construct shoreline access features, including an expanded north beach, viewing deck and water-level platform. Renovate restrooms and concession stand. Provide new shoreline landscaping and low impact development features. Partial grant funding for this project.
