Project Details/Neighborhood
-
Along SE 72nd Street, east of West Mercer Way
Background
Computer modeling was completed to investigate potential capacity issues for the storm drainage system. The modeling confirmed that the current 18-inch storm pipe is undersized and does not have capacity for high intensity, short duration storm events. During such events, there is a potential for minor localized street ponding.
Description
Construct an 18-inch storm pipe parallel to the existing pipe along SE 72nd Street to increase system capacity. Catch basins will be added at the intersection of SE 72nd Street and West Mercer Way to improve collection of roadway runoff.
