Restoration Event | Pioneer Park

Join us for a Forest Steward led event in Pioneer Park SE. Forest Stewards Marilyn and Bob as they clear blackberry and ivy from the park. Why remove ivy and blackberry? These plants provide little ecological value to our park. They take up valuable space for other plants that provide food and shelter for insects, birds, mammals, amphibians, and reptiles.

No experience necessary, all ages welcome.

When: Saturday, September 14^th, 10am-12pm
Where: Pioneer Park SE, please follow along the map provided in email after sign-up for directions to their specific work site.
What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring water. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.
