Off-Leash Dog Areas
Off-leash dog areas are available at Luther Burbank Park and Wildwood Park for pets and their owners to enjoy. Additionally, dogs are allowed off-leash in many Mercer Island parks provided they are voice-control trained. Dogs and other pets are not allowed at public swimming areas from May 1 to September 30. During the rest of the year, dogs are allowed on the beach but must be leashed at all times. Though the law allows for voice and signal control, even well-behaved dogs can be unpredictable. For this reason, the City requests that, when outside of designated off-leash areas, please keep your dog on leash.
