Status Updates
October 2023 Update
The final water quality analyzer will be transferred from the old to the new SCADA system in mid-November.
June 2022 Update
Testing should occur in the next month, with work scheduled to start later in July.
April 2022 Update
Supply chain issues continue to impact this project. In March, Bainbridge Island Electric notified the City that the last component is now estimated to ship in June.
February 2022 Update
In December the City was informed by the contractor, Bainbridge Island Electric, that they are still waiting for one integral part, which is the analog input card that receives signals. The part might ship in April, but there is no definitive timeframe. Until parts arrive, testing and installation will be on hold.
November 2021 Update
Based on the most recent update from Bainbridge Island Electric, parts are expected to arrive by the end of November. If the delivery schedule stays on track, the panels should be built and tested by mid-December, with installation at the first site set to begin in early January 2022.
September 2021 Update
The contractor has installed conduit and wires at two sites. Additional work on this project has been delayed as a result of longer lead times due to COVID, which has impacted the availability of parts to build the new programmable logic control panels. The original schedule that Bainbridge Island Electric provided in the spring has now been pushed back, with work tentatively starting at the beginning of 2022 and completion occurring in April 2022. More updates will come in a few months.
April 8, 2021 Update
The construction is anticipated to start early April.
