Ellis Pond Planting and Weeding
Join us at Ellis Pond Park for a Forest-Steward led weeding and clean-up event. Removing certain plants will help build even more wildlife habitat in a small neighborhood park teeming with birds and other woodland creatures. We will remove weeds like English ivy, Himalayan blackberry, and English holly to help protect native plants and forest health. Come join friends and neighbors in this fun Sunday event. No experience necessary; gloves and tools are provided. Participation is limited, so please register.
When: Sunday, November 19th, 9am-12pm
Where: Ellis Pond Park (meet at the bench next to the boardwalk on 90th Ave SE)
What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring a water bottle. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.
