November 2024 Highlight- Kerry at the 62nd St Trail

It’s clear Mercer Island residents love their parks and open spaces. That’s why we have such an extensive Forest Stewardship program of dedicated volunteers who help care for these spaces. Each month we will be highlighting to amazing work of one of our forests stewards. To kick things off we want to highlight the work of Kerry at the 62nd St Trail. Learn more about Kerry here.

December 2024 Highlight- Bob and Marilyn at Pioneer Park

Pioneer Park is one of the most well-used and most beloved parks on the island. With its 113 acres and 6.5 miles of trail there is plenty of room to play, hike, bird watch, and recreate. It also means there is quite a lot of forest that needs care. It may not come as a surprise then, that we have 9 dedicated Forest Stewards for this park alone. This month we're highlighting two of them, Bob and Marilyn. Learn more about them here.
