Pioneer Park Birding Walk

Join us for a morning birding walk through Pioneer Park. If you’re new to birding, curious about birding in a group, or just want to enjoy the park through a new lens, this is the walk for you!

We’ll take a leisurely walk through the park listening and looking out for different birds. We’ll teach about the basics of bird id through the help of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology ID app Merlin. We’ll also show how you can participate in community science using another app eBird to catalog bird species you see. No experience necessary, all ages welcome.

  • When: Tuesday, November 12th, 10am-11am
  • Where: Pioneer Park SE, Meet at the corner of Island Crest Way and SE 68th St. Follow VOLUNTEER EVENT Signs
