Pioneer Park Planting Party

Join us for a Forest Steward led planting event in Pioneer Park SE. Forest Stewards Marilyn and Bob spent most of 2024 removing weeds in their work site with volunteers. Now they’re looking to complete the first cycle of restoration by planting native plants. Adding more native plants will help strengthen the health of the ecosystem, and provide more habitat and forage for animals.

No experience necessary, all ages welcome.

When: Saturday, February 1^st, 10am-12pm
Where: Pioneer Park SE, please follow along the map provided for directions to their specific work site.
What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring water. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.
