A Message From Mayor Nice on Ukraine

The world has been shaken by the callous and brutal invasion of Ukraine at the hands of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his military. The images and stories coming out of Ukraine show horrific atrocities, causing immense suffering, fear, and heartbreak. 

To all Ukrainian people worldwide: we stand with you – completely and unconditionally. We will do all we can to support, aid, and comfort Ukrainians wherever they may be. 

To my fellow Islanders looking to help: please join me in making a monetary donation to the Ukrainian Red Cross or similar organizations linked below. While the needs are many, there is no faster or easier way to aid the people of Ukraine than through a monetary donation.

Our thoughts remain steadfastly with the people of Ukraine, and the many people and nations across the globe standing with them during this shocking time.
