Stop the Bleed Class
The City is pleased to offer Stop the Bleed on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 6:00-7:30pm at the Community Center.
Stop the Bleed is a hands-on class that teaches participants techniques to help save a life before someone bleeds out including how to apply pressure to a wound and how to correctly apply a tourniquet. These techniques will empower participants to assist in an emergency and potentially save a life.
Why Take Stop the Bleed? A bleeding injury can happen anywhere, anytime. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. The person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the one who’s most likely to save him or her from bleeding to death. By learning how to control bleeding, participants will gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding once you learn three quick techniques. Become empowered to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.
The class is free to the community. Register here.
