Position No. 1, Term 2019
Dave and his family moved to Mercer Island three years ago after having wanted to come here for years. Dave’s background is in business strategy and leadership, which involves building teams, collaborating with groups and managing complex systems and issues. He has worked in very large firms and very small from giants like Xerox to small hand-crafted mountain bike companies. Joining Microsoft a few years ago as part of the competitive and business strategy transformation the company is going through he manages a portion of the global strategy, which takes him to every corner of the world and helps him see what some of the most unique and innovative communities in the world are doing with their own challenges.
Dave holds an undergraduate degree in English from the Colorado College, an MBA from the University of Colorado and a Masters in Marketing from the University of Colorado. Dave has been actively involved in community service and is an avid outdoorsman and lives on First Hill with his wife and young son along with Greta the Rottweiler and Lilac the cat.
