Restoration Event | 62nd St Trail

Join us for a Forest Steward Led Work Party on the 62^nd Street Trail!

Mercer Island Forest Stewards will be hosting a work party on the 62^nd street trail. We will be clearing weeds from the trail to help prep for future planting events! It will be a great chance to get your hands in the dirt and work alongside neighbors and friends! No experience necessary; gloves and tools are provided.

• When: Saturday, August 31st , 10am-12pm
• Where: 62^nd Street Trail off of Island Crest Way, if driving you can park at the intersection of 84^th Ave SE and SE 62^nd st.
• What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring a water bottle. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.

• Directions: Driving south on Island Crest Way, turn west onto SE 63^rd St, turn north onto 84^th Ave SE, and then east onto SE 62^nd St. The trail is adjacent to Funny Farm which you can put in for directions on a GPS.
