Budget Review Process

As prescribed by Washington State Law, the City Manager submitted a proposed budget for City Council review and adoption in the fall of 2024. Community members were invited to attend and participate in budget meetings. The 2025-2026 Biennial Budget was discussed during the following City Council meetings:

October 1 - City Council Special Meeting
2025-2026 Biennial Budget Workshop: Budget Overview and Capital Improvement Program Review

October 15 - City Council Regular Meeting
2025-2026 Biennial Budget Workshop: Public Hearing, Revenue Forecast, Operating Budget, and Budget Proposals

November 4 - City Council Special Meeting
2025-2026 Biennial Budget Workshop (if needed)

November 19 - City Council Regular Meeting
2025-2026 Biennial Budget Workshop: Public Hearing, Third Quarter 2024 Financial Status Update and Budget Amending Ordinance; Adoption of NORCOM Resolutions; First Reading of the 2025 Property Tax Ordinances.
