Styrofoam Recycling Event

The City of Mercer Island is partnering with Ridwell to provide free doorstep collection of “beyond-the-bin” materials that are not accepted for regular curbside recycling, nor at the City's twice/year recycling events. 

Styrofoam will be the first item collected and all residents are eligible, including apartments and condo buildings. Save the date now for this FREE collection opportunity; Ridwell membership is not required.

Participants must sign up in advance - please register here.

Each registered address will be eligible for one large bag (55 gallons) of foam materials (e.g. packing peanuts, foam shipping blocks, etc.) to be collected on either Saturday, February 12 or Saturday February 26. More detailed information will be available early January.
