Join your neighbors for a tour of the Recology Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and see what happens to the materials you place in your curbside recycling bin!

Come take a tour of Recology's state-of-the-art facility in South Seattle facility to learn about how your paper, plastics, and more are sorted and recycled, to get a better understanding of how your recycling habits impact the process.

Individuals sixteen years of age or older are invited to tour the sorting line, where they will hear, see, and smell materials as they travel through a series of conveyor belts and high-tech machines. Groups with younger children may visit the facility to experience the recycling center from a bird’s eye view in the safety of Recology's education room.

Registration is required for this event, as space is limited, so please RSVP no later than April 8th using the form below. ** Registration begins on February 21st and will remain open until the event capacity is reached.

If you are not available, or if registration is full, Recology also offers public tours on the third Thursday of the month in January, April, July and October from 11am – 1pm.  Advanced registration is required and space is limited.  Please submit a tour request form at least one week prior to the tour date on their website, linked here.
