Police Responding to Increased Property Crime in the Region

January 26, 2023 - Mercer Island Police are responding to an uptick in home burglaries in the region, with a string of several break-ins on the south end of the Island. These burglaries on the Island are related to other recent burglaries across the eastside. Police are conducting emphasis patrols focused on the South End area and detectives are working with multiple police agencies involved, following up on all leads. The City will continue to share updates as they’re available.
