Shorewood Apartments Water Service Information
Over the past week, residents of the Shorewood Apartments have been impacted by persistent low water pressure issues, including some temporary water outages.
The Shorewood Apartments are serviced directly by Seattle Public Utilities, and not by the City – the water lines serving Shorewood have no physical connection to the city’s water system. Shorewood property management and Seattle Public Utilities are currently investigating the cause of this issue within their systems.
The City of Mercer Island is assisting in any way possible to help restore functioning water service to these residents, and is in communication with Seattle Public Utilities and Shorewood staff to ensure a solution can be found as quickly as possible.
Shorewood property management had previously informed residents that the water pressure issue was related to a City of Mercer Island infrastructure project in an adjacent area, however there is no physical connection between these systems. They are now correctly investigating with Seattle Public Utilities and within the Shorewood property. Shorewood property management will provide updates to residents as work continues with Seattle Public Utilities technicians and the property’s private plumbing provider.
