Biannual Recycling Event

Safely dispose of the old equipment, hardware, appliances, and other household items that are cluttering your basement or garage at the annual Mercer Island Spring Recycling Event on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Air Conditioner: $35
Fridge or Freezer: $35
Mattress or Boxspring [Must be dry]: $35
Propane Tanks [Residential only]: $10
Tires: Up to 6 small (<18") car tires free, $3 for each additional tire, all car tires on rim $6; truck tire $15, truck tire on rim $30
Toilets and sinks: $25
Water Heater w/insulation: $5

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE:

Household Hazardous Waste is not accepted at these events but can be taken to King County’s Factoria Transfer Station; more information and hours can be found online or by calling 206-296-4692.
