Fire Marshal Office

The Mercer Island Fire Marshal Office Staff provides plan review for Commercial, Residential, and Special Projects  Additionally, the Fire Marshals Office provides remarkable Fire Investigation services as well as Community Risk Reduction (CRR) programs such as Community Outreach and Public Education.  Mercer Island is a dedicated and motivated community that has placed a priority on fire prevention.  Maintaining a progressive, motivated, and educated team is our priority to the community and citizens.  Team members have various certifications including International Code Council (ICC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and Fire Investigation credentials from International Association of Arson Investigators, National Association Fire and Explosive Investigators, and IFSTA.  The Fire Marshals Office is here to assist both community and businesses with their fire protection needs, assessments, and pre-planning.  Involving the Fire Marshals early on in projects is highly recommended as fire protection systems often are the backbone of most buildings and can lead to different architectural design features.
